Course Objectives
This course is designed to provide a helicopter-rated pilot with a thorough transition into the Robinson R66 helicopter. Upon successful completion of the course, he or she will have the knowledge and skill to competently operate the R66 as pilot in command.
Course Description
This course is conducted in accordance with Quantum Helicopters’ Part 141 R66 Transition Syllabus. The student will learn how to perform normal and emergency procedures in the R66, with an emphasis on flight characteristics unique to the aircraft. Ground instruction will emphasize the R66’s performance characteristics and limitations.
Upon satisfactory completion of the required lessons, the student will receive an FAA Graduation Certificate.
Please note, a student who does not wish to receive a Graduation Certificate may modify the program to include only the hours of training he/she wishes to receive. For example, 1 hour of flight and 1 hour of ground school. The cost will be modified to reflect only the hours utilized.
