Financial Aid

Flight training is a significant commitment and finding the necessary financing can be a challenge in the field of aviation. The surest way to obtain financing is to enroll in the Flight Instructor Pilot program through our association with Dodge City Community College. Students enrolled at Dodge City Community College may be eligible for various types of loans and financial aid.

For those who prefer to forego the college education, Quantum recommends that students speak with their own banks and/or consider one of the options listed here. Unfortunately, with the exception of the VA program for Veterans, typically the funding offered is sufficient to cover only a portion of the program. We encourage you to explore all options before you make your final decision.

We are, of course, happy to discuss the options to help you find the perfect financial solution. Call us at (480) 814-8118.

Financial Aid for Veteran’s Who Are Eligible for Benefits Through the GI Bill®

Quantum Helicopters is approved by the Arizona State Approving Agency to provide helicopter flight training to eligible Veterans who possess benefits under the GI Bill®. Quantum Helicopters has been providing helicopter training to our veterans using the GI Bill® since 1994. In addition, Quantum Helicopters works closely with Dodge City Community College and their collegiate “Flight Instructor Pilot Program”. Benefits vary so please see the additional information below.

POST 9/11 GI BILL® – Option I: Qualified veterans may receive up to 100% financing for the Private, Instrument, Commercial, and Flight Instructor courses. This training track requires that you be enrolled in the Dodge City Community College Flight Instructor Pilot Program. The DCCC Flight Instructor Pilot Program is a two-year Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree program. This is the most common method students choose to utilize their Post 9/11 GI BILL® benefits for flight training. To use this option, the first step is to attend an information session immediately prior to the semester that you intend to begin. You can register for an information session here.

POST 9/11 GI BILL® – Option II: Qualified veterans may receive up to $15,800/year for any training excluding the Private Pilot Certificate. This program does not require that you be concurrently enrolled with Dodge City Community College.  Note: This amount increases annually. Call for most current annual benefit.

Visit the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs website for more information on the Post 9/11 GI Bill »

MONTGOMERY GI BILL®: Qualified veterans may receive up to 60% financing for costs incurred beyond the Private Pilot Certificate. This program does not require that you be concurrently enrolled in the Dodge City Community College program.

Due to the fact that benefits offered through the GI Bill® and the rules regarding how they can be used do change from time to time, we strongly suggest you research your current eligibility prior to making any decisions. Our staff will work closely with you to help determine your eligibility as well as help you file the necessary paperwork. For more information please contact us at (480) 814-8118 and/or visit www.gibill.va.gov.
